Webinar: Main Findings and Lessons Learned from the National Ecosystem Assessment of Grenada

  • Resource

As part of the global initiative, “Supporting decision-making and building capacity to support the Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) through National Ecosystem Assessments”, in 2019 a multidisciplinary team of experts from across Grenada embarked on a 4-year journey to undertake a national ecosystem assessment.

The assessment was completed in December 2023, and has resulted in a first-of-its kind, comprehensive and up to date evidence base that is intended to support national policies and actions related to biodiversity and it’s benefits for people. The findings of the assessment are available in a Technical Assessment Report, with a summarised version of key messages available in the Summary for Policy Makers. Moreover, a regional workshop was held in Grande Anse, Grenada on October 26, 2023 to discuss the main findings, lessons learned, and challenges faced during the national ecosystem assessment process.

This webinar aims to share the key takeaways from the regional workshop as well as present the main findings and policy-relevant recommendations from the Summary for Policy Makers.

This virtual webinar will be held on Zoom and delivered in English with French and Spanish translation available. Access to the online event will be provided to all pre-registered participants.
