The Arctic Biodiversity Assessment

The Conservation of Arctic Flora and Fauna (CAFF - www.caff.is), the biodiversity working group of the Arctic Council has released the “Arctic Biodiversity Assessment (ABA - www.arcticbiodiversity.is ),” a report containing the best available science informed by traditional ecological knowledge on the status and trends of Arctic biodiversity and accompanying policy recommendations for biodiversity conservation.

4th SGA Network Annual Meeting report

Over 80 participants attended the 4th Annual Meeting of the Sub-Global Assessment Network (Stellenbosch, South Africa from 26-29 Novemebr 2012). The meeting report is now available to download.

REPORT: Lessons learned from undertaking ecosystem assessments

Experiences of conducting ecosystem assessments from over 70 members of the Sub-Global Assessment Network have been compiled by the Secretariat. The report works through eight key lessons from defining clear, policy relevant questions to promoting the assessment concept

IPBES Information Document

Hosted by UNEP, the second session of plenary on IPBES took place in Panama City (16-21 April). Members of the SGA Network have contributed to a information document on how the Sub-Global Assessment Network and the intergovernmental science-policy platform on biodiversity and ecosystem services can be mutually supportive.
